Welcome! In this short video, I am going to show you how to install the Free Green Screen Remove Plugin for Adobe Photoshop. The first thing we need to do is to start Photoshop, but we have to start Photoshop as an Administrator, so find your link to start Photoshop and right-click on it and select Run as Administrator. It will not install the plugin without you having administrator rights to do so.
Once you start Photoshop, you will get the Welcome screen. Click on the X in the top right hand corner to close.
Now, go to File on the Menu and down to Scripts and then Browse.
You need to now browse to where you have downloaded and unzipped the Easy Green Screen Free
3.56 program. Double-click on the folder and you will see the Install Easy Green Screen Free.jsx file.
Double-click on the file and you will see the Install dialog box come up with the basic information. After you read the information, click on the I Agree check box and then the Install button to install the plugin.
You will then see a dialog box pop up saying the plugin has been installed and that you need to restart Photoshop before it will be available on the Filters menu. So go ahead and exit Photoshop and restart the program.
Once you restart Photoshop, close the Welcome Screen Dialog box. Now go to File and Open and browse to your Wk6 Resources folder and find the trailer_preview.jpg file and double-click on it to open it. Once opened, you could use the text tool to modify the text, but for now, we just want to use the Free Green Screen Remove Plugin to remove the green background for the image. So go to Filter on the menu and at the bottom, click on the Easy Green Screen Free link.
The plugin will run and analyze the picture and find and remove all the green. If you are satisfied, click on the Apply button.
You can now make adjustments or click on the Save As and save it without the green background.
Now do the same with a picture. Open a picture that has a green screen background.
Now go to Filter on the menu and click on Free Green Screen 3.56 and the Apply button, then use the Erase Background tool in Photoshop to clean up the top left corner of the picture. It was a little darker than the rest of the picture—this is why it needed to be cleaned up.
I hope you now understand how to install the Free Green Screen Plugin and how you can use it.
